History

In 2015, six founders came together with a shared frustration about the defense technology landscape.  Too often, critical capabilities were trapped in slow-moving development cycles and large-company bureaucracy, delaying solutions for the warfighter.  By the time many systems were finally delivered, the operational environment had already evolved - leaving once-promising solutions outdated before they were even fielded.

They believed there had to be a better way.

Instead of chasing perfection through years of development, the founders embraced a different mindset: deliver an 80% solution as fast as possible, iterate quickly, and get solutions into the hands of the people who need them most.  The goal was simple - accelerate innovation and shorten the distance between an idea and its impact in the field.

That philosophy became the foundation of the company and the origin of a principle that still guides everything we do today: disrupt convention.

Today, Resonant Sciences has grown to more than 250 team members across six operating locations, with over 200,000 square feet of engineering and manufacturing space.  Our footprint continues to expand, including five buildings in the Dayton region and a new 125,000 square foot advanced manufacturing facility coming online in 2026.  

But growth has never been the goal - impact is.

We believe in operating as partners with our customers, not vendors, working side-by-side to solve complex problems and deliver capabilities that matter to the end user.  That same founding mindset still drives our approach: innovate quickly, challenge industry norms, and deliver solutions at a pace that matches the mission.

Our vertically integrated model and high-velocity culture allow us to design, build, test, and deploy faster than the fight evolves.  From concept through operational capability, our teams move rapidly to translate ideas into real-world impact.  

That integration is intentional.  The intersection of our disciplines is where the real breakthroughs happen - and what makes Resonant Sciences unmatched in what we do.

We were built on the belief that capability should reach the end user faster - and that belief continues to drive where we're headed next.

As the mission evolves, so do we.  We are expanding our engineering and manufacturing footprint, investing in advanced facilities and infrastructure that allow us to scale production while maintaining the speed and agility that define our culture.  With the new manufacturing space coming online and continued growth across our teams, we are building the capacity to deliver more capability, faster, and at greater scale.

Our future is about continuing to push boundaries - developing next-generation mission systems, advancing survivability technologies, and delivering operational advantage in environments where speed, adaptability, and technical excellence matter most.

As we grow, one thing will remain unchanged: the mindset that started it all.  We will continue to challenge convention, move faster than traditional systems allow, and stay relentlessly focused on the end user.
